BiomarkerBay first symposium: inspiring presentations, good discussions - Event report

BiomarkerBay has organized the symposium “Increasing Success in Drug Discovery by Biomarkers: An Interactive Symposium” dedicated to the field of biomarker research and bioanalysis in Boston, on September 14, 2016.

With presentation from Ymke van der Geld, Martin Smit from BiomarkerBay, Rudy Schreiber, consultant, Steven Arnold, from the Massachusetts General Hospital, Judith Steen, from The Boston Children’s hospital and Satrajit Ghosh, MIT, we explored the roles of biomarker research in drug discovery and discussed about the challenges in the confirmation of newly-discovered biomarkers and emerging trends in biomarker research in Alzheimer’s. We also counted on the participation of Dawn Moore (QPS), Julia Knoeff and Cato Bechtold from the Holland Innovation Network. The meeting, which was hosted at LabCentral, was attended by over 20 participants which engaged in stimulating conversations.
