New assays for cortisol metabolites and 8-OHdG

 LC-MS/MS analyses to measure cortisol metabolites in plasma and 8-Hydroxy-2-deoxyguanosine in urine are now available via BiomarkerBay.

UMCG-RUG@1,5x LC-MS/MS-analysis to measure cortisol and related metabolites in plasma are now available on our database. Alterations in the levels of these compounds are related to disorders of adrenal biosynthesis, steroid producing tumours, cortisol under- or overproduction, stress. In addition, we also present a LC-MS-based assay to measure 8-Hydroxy-2-deoxyguanosine in urine. Altered levels of this metabolite can be an indication for oxidative stress and carcinogenesis.

The biomarker assays are measured within the Laboratory Medicine Department of Prof. Ido Kema and they are validated for research purposes.  Here the full list:
